Dr. Alyson Dearie
Dr. Alyson Dearie is an associate professor in the Kinesiology department and teaches in the graduate athletic training program at SUNY Cortland. She received her EdD from Binghamton University in Educational Theory and Practice, an MS in Health Sciences from James Madison University, and a BS in Physical Education with a concentration in Athletic Training from East Stroudsburg University. Dr. Dearie’s research interest includes curriculum, mental health, and well-being of athletes and athletic training students. In 2018, Dr. Dearie was recognized for her contributions to the athletic training program at SUNY Cortland and was awarded the John L. Sciera Service Award.
