Dr. AJ Fallon-Korb

Dr. AJ Fallon-Korb is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at SUNY Cortland. They hold an Ed.D. in Sport and Performance Psychology with a concentration in Positive Leadership Administration from the University of Western States. Dr. Fallon-Korb also earned an M.S.W. from Boston University with a focus on clinical social work, an M.Ed. in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sport Psychology from the University of Minnesota, and a B.A. in Psychology from Carleton College. Their research centers on the concept of belonging in sport, particularly how the sense of belonging among athletes and coaches impacts well-being and performance. They are particularly interested in intentionally developing sport cultures that foster and enhance a sense of belonging. As former NCAA Division III college basketball coach and athlete, Dr. Fallon-Korb is a four-time MIAC champion and made three NCAA tournament appearances during their career.
