Inclusive Environments in Healthcare

Dr. Ashley Crossway

Dr. Ashley Crossway serves as the Coordinator of Clinical Education for the SUNY Cortland Athletic Training Program.  She is a central New York native, and an alumna of the SUNY Cortland athletic training program.  She received her Doctor of Athletic Training from Indiana State University and has experience as an athletic trainer and preceptor at both the collegiate and secondary levels.  Dr. Crossway served as a founding member of the NATA LGBTQ+ Advisory Committee and currently serves as its District 2 representative. She has completed research and presentations on numerous topics that include establishing and promoting inclusive environments in the healthcare community.  In 2018 Dr. Crossway was recognized for her efforts in diversity and inclusiveness with the Indiana State University Award for Inclusive Excellence.  She has had several publications in the Journal of Athletic Training, International Journal of Exercise, NATA News, has presented at NYSATA, PATS, EATA’s, and the NATA Convention.
